IT is with the greatest humility I crave a short space in your correspondence columns in reply to Coun Geoff Knock's letter headed "Wrong Assumption" (Malvern Gazette February 9).
No, Coun Knock there is no wrong assumption on my part, only to alert my fellow citizens of the 'thin blue line' which separates us all from anarchy and vice, to which you turn a blind eye.
While our larger towns and cities fall into ever increasing violence and lawlessness, it takes Coun Knock seven paragraphs to justify his pitiful lament that the local police were dilatory in carrying out the small print in law, rather than the obvious course for discretion.
