Littleton 8,

Crown & Anchor 0

LITTLETON achieved a comfortable win against the bottom of the table visitors.

It was virtually one-way traffic for the entire game but, to their credit, Crown never gave up and competed hard throughout.

It took Littleton 30 minutes to open the scoring. Following a corner the referee awarded Littleton a penalty which looked very harsh and Perry Beddoes converted.

Four minutes later, it was 2-0. A Beddoes corner was headed on to the bar by Tim Davies, and Philip Haines was on hand to score from close-range.

Four goals within the first ten minutes of the second half put the result beyond doubt. A Beddoes shot hit the post, and again Haines was on hand to convert.

Beddoes was again involved in the fourth - scoring with a fine free kick from 25 yards. He completed his hat-trick five minutes later cutting in from the left to shoot home from 18 yards.

Steve Pitcher added the sixth with a drive from 18 yards.

There was then a lull in the scoring until the 70th minute when a pass from Curtis Majors found Beddoes and he was on hand to take the return pass to score from close-range.

The scoring was completed nine minutes from time when a fierce drive from Mark Gledhill was parried. The ball ran loose and Ben Greenwood reacted quickest to score.

The game was sponsored by Midfield Motors.
