THE whole world will soon have information on rubbish collection times and other council services at their fingertips, thanks to a new website launched by Stratford District Council.
The site, at www.stratford.gov.uk will provide access to all vital council information on the services it provides and will provide links to other sites on relevant subjects, like tourism.
However, the council is hoping to develop the site as a vital communication tool for residents, which will allow them to pay council tax and make planning applications online.
"This is undoubtedly the way that all organisations will have to go in providing the communities they serve with information 24 hours a day," said director of personnel and technology Chris Sennewald.
"It's a natural progression of the council's services to its residents and it means that anyone with access to the internet can find out details about the council and its area at any time of the day from wherever they are."
