6 I VOTED Labour at the last election because I certainly thought that they would put right all or most of the wrongs the Tory Government had bestowed on us over many years of misrule.
I have to say they have failed dismally. The county as a whole is in a worse plight now than ever it was under the Tory regime - and they were the pits.
Admittedly, we all realise that 18 years mostly of Thatcherism was a complete disaster for our country, where the rich got richer and the poor got poorer.
Under New Labour the gap has widened further still - which shows clearly where their loyalties lie.
Our country is in crisis because there is no politician with the guts to tackle urgent problems with the authority that is required.
They have allowed the "do-gooders" to have far too much of a say and the results all over the country are plain to see.
We are badly in need of a Churchill figure - but sadly most of the politicians of today are purely "yes men" and the rest "con men".
