MARK Owen has won his battle to be fit for Worcester City's trip to bottom club Fisher Athletic in the Dr Martens League Premier Division tomorrow (3pm).

City's 22-goal top scorer has shaken off a dead leg that forced him to come off after only half-an-hour in last week's 2-0 win over Folkestone. He should partner Micky Cotter up front in an unchanged starting line-up.

However, winger Ian Reed could face several weeks on the sidelines with a suspected hernia and is due to see a specialist today.

Transfer-listed Paul Carty is also unlikely to figure after sustaining a calf strain in the mid-week Central Conference game at Kidderminster.

Midfielder Andy Ellis will continue in midfield after making a successful comeback against Folkestone.

Manager John Barton is backing him to repeat his performance, saying: "The second game is going to be more difficult than the first one for him, in terms of motivation and the fact that the adrenaline will be pumping away.

"Once that subsides it can even out. We would like him to repeat last week's performance -- he had a tremendous influence on the game -- but let's not heap too much pressure and expectation on him."

Worcester could go back up to third place if they win tomorrow and other league results go their way.

But they face a tricky task against a side who have appointed former Millwall boss Keith Stevens as their new manager.
