Although I normally hunt with the Cattistock Hunt in Dorset, I took the opportunity to follow the Ledbury hounds on Boxing Day, as I was visiting family in the area. The welcome I received was outstanding - mounted, foot and car followers all made me feel extremely welcome.
At the meet in Ledbury High Street, I was talking to a local policeman (one of two on duty!), who estimated the crowd to be "in excess of 2,000", with only two antis. Now, even my simple grasp of maths can calculate that, out of all the people who felt strong enough to come out and make their feelings known on Boxing Day, 0.1 per cent were opposed to hunting and 99.9 per cent were in favour of it.
The facts speak for themselves, this farcical Bill makes a mockery of our political system. I will never give up my way of life or freedom of choice to hunt!
