I WONDER if the painters of pink patches and the setters of speed limits would be interested to hear that I have recently been travelling 11 miles to work - no buses available, of course - and in that 11 miles I passed through 16 changes of speed limit restrictions.
One imagines that even the police radar will be confused. "You were doing 32mph in a 30 mile limit". "No officer, my car was still 15 inches inside the 40mph zone at that moment".
