THOSE looking for something unusual, active and sociable to do need look no further than DanceFest.
The Worcestershire youth dance groups are busy preparing for their forthcoming performance of Digital Motion and are seeking new members.
DanceFest, which has three groups across the county in Worcester, Kidderminster and Malvern, needs budding dancers to join up with their members in Herefordshire in readiness for the event at Hereford's Courtyard Centre for the Arts later in the year.
DanceFest development co-ordinator Rose Beeston said: "For anyone not sure what to expect from a youth dance group, they are aimed at young people of secondary school age who want to develop their skills, without the pressure of examinations.
"With the emphasis on creating and often performing new dances, each session contains a warm-up and dance technique, but with the majority of time being spent on working on ideas for the new dances."
She added: "DanceFest has developed a network of groups across Herefordshire and Worcestershire who often get the opportunity to work with guest artists and to meet up to perform. All abilities are welcome."
The groups meet at Malvern's Dyson Perrins High School, on Wednesdays between 4.15-5.15pm for 12-18-year-olds, Worcester Arts Workshop between 6-7.30pm for 12-16-year-olds and at Kidderminster Town Hall between 5.30-7pm for 14-18-year-olds.
