STAR-STRUCK residents from Bromsgrove were geared up for a visit from the crew of a leading car programme yesterday.
Speed demons Tiff Needell, Jason Barlow and Vicki Butler-Henderson came to town to shoot the opening of a special Top Gear episode set to be screened on BBC2 on Sunday February 11, at 6.15pm.
They were filming the 2001 car awards special version of the show and Tiff sat behind the wheel of a BMW M Coupe in High Street.
Producer James Woodroth said they chose Bromsgrove for the backdrop because they were looking for a 'quaint, picturesque town' and it fitted the bill.
The crew and stars headed off to the Lickey Hills for the second stage of filming in the afternoon.
