PARISH MEETING: There will be an open meeting tomorrow (Friday) in the village hall at 2.30pm organised by the parish council. The meeting has been called to discuss road safety and traffic control measures which might benefit the village. Everyone with views on these matters is invited to attend and if you are unable to attend, letters addressed to the parish clerk will be read out at the meeting. As well as parish councillors, the Traffic Officer of Glos. County Council, Mr Derek Howell and local County Councillor, Mr Barry Dare, will be present. Following the open meeting there will be a parish council meeting to discuss the results of the open meeting.

GARDENERS' BROADCAST: On Sunday, the Gardeners Question Time programme recorded at Bourton last November is being broadcast on BBC Radio Four at 2.30pm and will be repeated on Wednesday at 3pm. Included in this programme is a question asked by Elizabeth Leatherhead of Longborough Garden Club.

WINE TASTING: On Tuesday, the Friends of St James are holding a wine tasting evening with food at the village hall at 7.30pm. Tasting will be led by Robert Harbord.

SHORT MAT BOWLS: There is a short mat bowls session next Thursday in the village hall at 7.30pm. All welcome, only £1 for the session including tea or coffee. Details from Marian Brewer on 01451-830518.
