CASUALS appeared well on the way to victory in the Evesham Indoor League when they had rattled up 42 from just three overs in reply to Stanton's 114-3.
However, the innings collapsed in dramatic fashion and the chasers were shot out for just 71.
John (3-34) and Green (2-1) were the Stanway stars with the ball as only Clements (20) really managed to trouble the scorers.
Stanway's respectable total was built around consistent batting from Colwell, Green and John, who all hit 26 with the latter pair having to retire.
Casuals lost an early wicket as they started like a train before the wheels fell off.
Overbury recorded a well-paced victory over Bidford, who were under pressure throughout their innings in totalling a modest 88.
Excellent fielding and tight bowling ensured that Nash was the sole Bidford player to cause the Overbury bowlers any problems. A Munro was the pick with figures of 1-14.
The reply started well as retired openers Haynes (26) and J Munro (27) reduced the target by 50 before the loss of three quick wickets gave Bidford the scent of a shock.
However, 14 not out from Aldridge saw Overbury to victory with an over to spare. Collins (1-12) was Bidford's best with the ball.
Fixtures for Tuesday
Overbury v Casuals (8); Stanway v Bidford (9).
