AN explosive application has been approved by Wyre Forest planners.
Rocket firm Royal Ordnance has been given lift off to erect a new building for making explosive paste. The rocket motors division wants to build a material processing building at its Summerfield site.
Wyre Forest District Council's planning (development control) committee approved the application subject to the Environment Agency agreeing on pollution risks.
Planning officer Paul Wrigglesworth said: "This is a good location as it is positioned well away from adjacent property, the closest being on the Hoo Farm Industrial Estate, some 170 metres away."
