CHARITY groups that have long enjoyed cheap office accommodation at British Sugar have been quick to express dismay at the company's decision to move out.
Among the worst hit will be the Dial-a-Ride service which co-ordinator Bob Hartell said will need an office with space outside for its five mini-buses.
Within hours of the announcement he had checked with estate agents but found "there is very little about."
Also looking for a new home is Eric Kent's fund-raising office for Childline and the Oldington and Foley Park Community Network.
Another tenant Homestart, the family support scheme, has already launched a search for a base nearer the town centre.
However, it has found the shortage of spare offices has worsened with the start of the town centre development scheme.
Anyone with spare space should contact Dial-a-Ride on 01562 755084, Childline on 01562 68889, Homestart on 01562 825896 and Oldington and Foley Park Community Network on 01562 861986.
