A TRIPLE substitution paid dividends for Stourport Swifts who netted three second-half goals to beat Cradley 4-0 in the Midland Alliance on Tuesday.

The result took rampant Swifts' unbeaten run to six games and pushed them further towards the top five.

Lee Booth hit the bar before Paul Moore gave Stourport the lead on 23 minutes, following up a rebound from Lea Shaw's attempt.

Difficult conditions forced an error from the Stourport defence after the re-start but keeper Derek Dudley prevented Cradley from capitalising.

The heavy surface prevented a certain goal for Matt Southwick whose run and shot caught in the mud.

A free-kick brought Stourport's second goal, following the substitutions, with Shaw blasting in from the edge of the area.

Mark Dearlove's clearance led to Booth's first after he combined well with Simon Marsh to score.

Then Richard Taylor provided the cross for 22-goal Booth to finish on 82 minutes after Adrian Cooper opened up the Cradley defence.

Fixtures, Saturday: Knypersley v Swifts (3pm, coach leaves Walshes Meadow 11.45am and Land Oak noon). Tuesday: Swifts v Barwell (7.45pm).
