Drakes Broughton 1,

Norton Rangers U-13 10

FIVE corners in the opening ten minutes set the pattern of play as rampant Rangers reinforced their championship chances.

The unbeaten top of the table visitors opened the scoring through Shane Turley but, despite a lot of pressure, they could only breach the Drakes defence twice more before the break.

Player of the match Matthew Williams and Tristan Buckley were the players to give Norton a 3-0 half time lead.

An interval reshuffle saw Norton produce more good football and a more clinical approach in front of goal.

Williams went on to bag a hat-trick, while Buckley doubled his tally, a two-goal feat matched by Ashley Knight.

The other Norton goals came from Ashley Wilkes and Tommy Sandles but they didn't have things all their own way and Drakes scored a deserved consolation after spurning a penalty.

Badsey Rangers U-13 4,

Campden Youth 1

RANGERS overcame their local rivals in comfortable fashion after a hard fought contest between two sides similarly placed in the table.

Campden started the brighter and put their hosts under early pressure but it was Badsey who struck first courtesy of an own goal.

Rangers now began to find their feet and Dan Willmott doubled the lead. But Campden then hit back only for Willmott to pounce again and make the interval score 3-1.

Sam Linley, who was always a threat, scored the only goal of the second period to maker the points safe as Badsey ended well on top.

Nick Antonelli was named player of the match, while Michael Elliot ran him a close second in midfield.

Peopleton U-13 11,

Worcester St Johns 0

SEVEN goals from Jack Bostock helped Peopleton to an emphatic 11-0 win.

Peopleton were back to their best form after a hiccup the previous week and free flowing football had the Saints permanently on the back foot.

The final scoreline could easily have been doubled as the home strikers ran riot.

It was 6-0 at half time thanks to four goals from Bostock and further strikes from Ross Sailes and Luke Radford.

Bostock added three more after the restart before two from Nick Henry and new comer Lee Miller's fine strike rounded off the goal rush.

Worcester Rangers 0,

Vale Youth U-13 12

ON an icy surface Vale adapted better to the quick ball and applied constant pressure on the Rangers defence.

Only a series of brave saves kept the final margin of victory to a round dozen as Aston (3), Bellamy (2), Phelps (2), Sheppard (2), Hawtree, Coughlin and a first of the season from Matty Jones completed a fine win.

Bredon Colts U-11 11,

Elmley Castle 0

THIS rescheduled fixture saw one-way traffic towards the Elmley goal as Bredon ran up double figures.

The hosts were relentless in attack and strong in defence and the basement visitors were simply overwhelmed.

Maneshj Madhu started the rout and then made it 2-0 within the opening few minutes.

He then completed his hat-trick before half time by which time James Offord and John Chambers had also found the net for 5-0.

The trio weren't to be denied after the break, with Offord also netting a treble. William Cook and Jacob Denton completed the scoring to cap a fine Bredon show.

Peopleton Tigers U-9 3,

Littleton Juniors 1

TITLE chasing Littleton were rocked by their table topping hosts after only two minutes when they failed to keep out an inswinging corner from Daniel Johnson.

A second Johnson flag-kick after more home pressure brought Peopleton a second goal.

The second period continued to be a hard fought tussle but a break from the Tigers saw Will Worthington slot home his side's third from the edge of the area.

Littleton rallied and Alex Trinder reduced the arrears following a goalmouth scramble.

Evesham United U-10 1,

Elmley Castle 1

THERE was action at both ends in a competitive clash in the cold conditions.

Resolute Elmley defending thwarted Evesham's attacking efforts down the slope in the first half and it was the visitors who broke the deadlock five minutes into the second period.

Both sides forced several corners but it was United who made one count when Ben Parry crossed for Rob Andrew to equalise.

Southside 1,

Badsey Rangers U-11 6

SLACK marking at a fourth minute corner saw Badsey go behind in a League Cup tie against a side they had drawn against earlier in the season in the league.

Jamie Clarke's chip four minutes later levelled matters before a three-goal salvo just before the break left Rangers firmly in command.

Player of the match Stefan Ellis hit the first after 25 minutes after skipping past three defenders and just a minute later a repeat run and finish made it 3-1.

Clarke's pace then caught out the Southside defence as he calmly slotted in Badsey's fourth goal.

Pete Heyes continued the scoring five minutes after the restart after a neat passing move and, with the hosts draining in confidence, Rangers took over.

They created numerous chances but it was left to Clarke to produce a deft chip to complete the scoring and cap a quality Badsey show.
