FOR such a well-meaning, hard-working campaigner for the re-instatement of Kidderminster Hospital, David Parry has got it so wrong in thinking that the people of Wyre Forest would support and vote for a proposed Health Concern parliamentary candidate at the forthcoming elections (Letters, January 11).

I really believe the downgrading of Kidderminster Hospital was wrong. I helped in the election campaign of a Health Concern candidate to the district council and, like many others, have given money to help fight for the hospital, but I would not vote for a Health Concern parliamentary candidate.

To send an independent candidate to Westminster on a specific one-item fight is just silly.

They would be isolated, with no allies, and be unable to function effectively.

I'm sure Mr Parry has found out by now that politics, even at a local level, is a very dirty affair.

I would not give any money or help to support such a scheme and in conversations on this subject with many others, I find I am not alone.

Please Mr Parry, carry on the excellent work you do at a local level and accept any help from any political party which might help us get more of our hospital back.
