ATHLETICS: HUSBAND and wife team, Rob and Norma Edwards, braved the snow in the first Cotswold Canter.
The Amazing Feet Running Club couple recorded times of 47 minutes 14 seconds and 55-00 on a course that attracted more than 300 runners despite a longer course than advertised.
Local runners are reminded the club's Roc Fencing Wyre Forest eight multi-terrain race is at the Wyre Forest Visitor Centre, Callow Hill, near Bewdley, on Sunday, February 11, at 11.00 am.
No entries will be taken on the day so anyone interested should contact Martin Childe at 26 Park Lane, Bewdley, DY12 2EU, for an entry form as soon as possible.
It is expected the 350 limit will be reached well in advance as the race has been more popular than last year so far.
l Kidderminster Running Club's Steve Smith won the Folksworth 15-mile road race on Sunday despite treacherous, snowy conditions.
Smith completed the two-lap course in 91 minutes and over 300 runners competed on a difficult day's running.
