NETBALL: WYRE Forest boasted a number of netball players involved in Worcestershire's fine win over Sussex in English Counties League Division Three.
The Division Four champions came away with a clean sweep as all four teams beat their opposition in Horsham.
Rachel Smith and Karen Greenfield joined the senior firsts as they produced an excellent, confidence-building display to win 54-40.
Smith converted goals with great accuracy to ensure the win, while the defence were superb.
The seconds, including Wyre Forest's Brita Faulkner and Michelle Broom, were not to be outdone as they dominated their opponents and established a 14-goal lead.
But the best display came from the U-18s' new squad, running out 34-33 winners after clawing back a seven-goal deficit.
Sarah Williams, Laura Gayle and Sarah Bowen were among those from the area.
The U-16s were also successful with a 37-21 victory.
