PLANS are under way for a match between Warwickshire's top cricketers and Studley villagers as part of county coach and former West Indian test player's Derief Taylor's benefit year.

The 20-over game is expected to take place some time in June, according to Studley cricketer Graham Bufferey.

"We are planning on holding a dance afterwards for the players, staging raffles and probably using programmes as entry tickets for the game," said Mr Bufferey.

"Derief will be there and will most probably play."

The West Indian is said to have developed the finest junior coaching system in the world and has been involved with the Edgbaston-based county side for many years.
