AFTER seeing various stage hypnosis shows I was intrigued by Kevin's work at the centre.

I don't smoke or have a drink problem, but I am partial to pizza and chocolates and would love to go down a dress size or two -- so I decided to go under Kevin's spell.

Determined I could not be hypnotised I sat in the chair and Kevin's lilting Irish voice told me to relax and feel parts of my body getting heavier.

I thought my mind was so busy I couldn't relax, but when Kevin told me to close my eyes I was glad to.

I felt myself getting more and more relaxed and Kevin told me to visualise how I would like to look.

He told me I couldn't lose weight because if you lose something your body will have to find it again so you need to get rid of it.

As he talked, I slouched further into the chair and my head fell on one side and although I had a pain in my neck I was too relaxed to move.

After boosting my ego and telling me to see myself differently, it was time to wake up -- which I really didn't want to do.

Talking to him afterwards I told him I kept hearing his voice in my head saying "health and happiness is the key" and kept seeing pictures of myself as how I'd like to be.

He said this was normal and if I had another session I would go deeper.

That night I had the best night's sleep for a long time and woke feeling fresh and quite positive.

Hypnotism is definitely nothing to be scared of.

As Kevin told me, more people should learn to relax away from the stresses and strain of everyday life and use their imagination more.
