Studley BKL 1 Pershore Town 0

BKL recorded their 17th win of the season, beating fellow title challengers Pershore Town.

In an even opening quarter Pershore's Paul Jones went close with a strike from six yards just going over.

As the tempo increased BKL came into their stride, forcing visiting keeper Turner to block efforts from Kevin Rowlands and Andy Grubb.

The deadlock was nearly broken on 36 minutes when Paul Harmer curled a delightful 18-yard shot against the post.

Town scrambled the ball away and from the resulting corner Mark Neath shot well wide.

The breakthrough came nine minutes into the second half when Brian Powell forced his way past Burrows and Brown to fire in a low cross turned home by Mark Neath.

Pershore came back into the game but while their approach work was neat the final exchanges failed to penetrate a solid Bees defence, the closest effort a Simon Brian shot on 80 minutes.

The introduction of Studley sub Jamie Bailey almost extended the lead as he twice came close with near range efforts while Steve Hands flicked over Kenny Fergie's corner on the final whistle.
