I WAS encouraged to read B J Bennett's letter (You Say, January 9) which supports the need for a new supermarket in St John's.
He is also supportive of our own proposals for the area which, in my opinion, reflect the views of a significant proportion of people living on the west side of Worcester.
Sainsbury's is convinced that its proposed supermarket in St John's is the most appropriate way to serve the food shopping needs of the local community and that B J Bennett and others will benefit from a new store before too long.
