I AM increasingly irritated to find, when opening my Evening News, that so many pages contain a photograph of MP Mike Foster promoting himself at every opportunity.
This leads me to ask whether there is any undue influence here. Surely an objective and short reporting of his activities could normally be printed without the "Cheshire Cat" illustration so often included?
If only he could be seen to be using his position to obtain some overdue increases in the ridiculously low rate support grants and other such activities that might benefit his constituents, instead of courting publicity at every opportunity with your assistance.
Even I would consider the occasional photo-call to be acceptable. But I fear that with the election in the offing, it can only get worse with the Evening News perhaps achieving spin doctor status.
