Break-a-Leg Theatre Group will be taking its first tentative steps into the world of Shakespeare when its members perform an adaptation of Twelfth Night at St John Fisher First School this week.
Set in 1930s Tinseltown, the play has been specially adapted by scriptwriter Andy Higgit, and incorporates a live band with music composed and arranged by Malcolm Carlton.
The performance will also benefit from new lighting, bought using funds raised by Redditch Big Hearts and award from the Edward and Dorothy Cadbury Trust and the Margaret Westwood Memorial Trust.
The group is celebrating the donation of a further £1,000 from the CB & HH Taylor 1984 Trust, which will go towards musical instruments and sound equipment.
Twelfth Night will be performed by the older workshop group at the Church Hill school from Thursday, January 25 until Saturday, January 27.
Tickets are available from theatre directors Jo and Barnaby Hiles on 545561.
