A PETITION has been submitted to Redditch Council to turn a play area at Quibury Close into a residents' car park to combat nuisance youths congregating outside their homes.
Residents are keen to see the Winyates East play area, near Ten Acres First School, turned into a larger car park since parking in the close is limited.
They also feel youngsters will still gather in the area if the play area is grassed over as part of the Redditch play area review to abolish or upgrade play facilities in the town.
The council's amenities committee was due to discuss the issue at a meeting on Monday.
