A WOMAN who was lost her dog when he escaped after a car crash in Studley has been reunited with him.

Laura Lello, 30, of Northfield, was involved in a two-car collision at The Slough, Studley, at about 4.15pm on Saturday with her two dogs, Rottweiler, Troy, and Labrador-cross, Ralph, in the car.

The car turned over and the driver was trapped until Studley and Alcester fire crews arrived on the scene to free her.

After firefighters smashed the back windscreen to free her, Ralph jumped out of the car and ran off.

Miss Lello said: "Two days later he apparently strolled into a house in Callow Hill and curled up in the owner's dog basket.

"My friend had been calling all the vets in Redditch seeing as I have been unable to do very much, and Mr Field, of Callow Hill, happened to take Ralph to one of them.

"I am so grateful to everyone who has helped get him back home and have not yet had a chance to thank everyone."

She added: "Ralph has sore paws and is very tired but at least he is safe now."
