THE search is on to find the family of a Redditch brother and sister who sent a gruesome postcard to their parents 86 years ago.

The postcard depicting a murder scene was sent by the children of James and Margaret Watson, who lived in Evesham Road until 1925.

Their grisly postcard shows a man named Kent Reeke, who was mysteriously murdered and dumped at a pit shaft in Bilston, Staffordshire.

Now a television show wants to contact any descendants of the Watsons and find out more about the postcard's origins, after it was unearthed by a collector in Bilston.

Revealing Secrets is a new show on Channel 4 which will encourage more viewers to seek out lost treasures and mysterious objects.

Makers of the programme want to contact anyone who knows the unidentified Watson children and maybe invite them on the show to shed some light on the postcard and its past.

One problem is that one of their names is a little unclear. While the name Teresa Watson can be identified, the boy's name is illegible.

If anyone has any information on the Watson family or the postcard, they can call Susy Nash of Multi Media Arts on 0161 834 7621.
