Dudley Kingswinford 15 Redditch Exiles 15

IN one of few games to survive, Exiles visited National Division Three side DK and came close to a first win of the year.

DK were dominant in the line outs but unable to turn possession into points.

Keith Morgan opened the scoring with a penalty after enterprising attacking running from the back row.

DK forced play to the Redditch line pushing back a lighter pack to touch down for an unconverted try.

A swift handling move gave Mark Smith room and time to burst past the last defenders and score under the posts, Morgan converting.

At 10-15 down after a stray pass Redditch took the game to the opposition but found it difficult to gain possession.

The breakthrough came when centre Kenny Passmore found room to break through and level.

The conversion was narrowly missed and despite some desperate play towards the end, neither side could take the edge.

Man of the Match Mark Callow showed his more senior team-mates how they should have been tackling with impressive speed and determination.
