THE Liberal Democrats in Worcester haven't been over talkative of late, but then there aren't many of them to start with.
No such reticence in Wychavon, however.
The leader of the party, Margaret Rowley, has certainly not missed much time in sending me the odd Press release in the past week.
Much of the material is straightforward party politicking, aimed at the Tories.
For instance, I was sent a letter addressed to the managing director of Wychavon District Council, Sid Pritchard, taking a pop at the authority's leader, Malcolm Meikle.
Newsletter
Coun Rowley complained about the latest Wychavon Newsletter sent to parish councils, branding it "party political material".
The Liberal Democrats aren't averse to that sort of thing, though.
Take the spat between Coun Rowley and Mid-Worcestershire MP Peter Luff, over flooding.
This followed the revelation that the Tory MP had sent a letter to County Hall, criticising the county council for "wasting" resources on a flood protection plan.
Mr Luff's letter, he says ,was addressed as private correspondence.
But the Labour and Liberal Democrats at County Hall thought it made good copy, and so referred to it at an executive committee meeting at which the Press and public were present.
I wonder if Coun Rowley's sudden media drive is linked to the fact that she is the Liberal Democrats' Parliamentary candidate for Bromsgrove.
Why else would a copy of a third Press release be sent not only to the Evening News, but two Bromsgrove-based papers - despite the fact it concerned the Droitwich Spa Lido?
