Midlands-based energy supplier npower is offering to cap prices for customers who sign up for 'dual fuel' between now and Easter.
The company is offering the option of a price cap until the end of March 2003, for customers who sign up for both electricity and gas before April 13, 2001.
"Energy prices have been very volatile of late and wholesale gas prices have risen significantly over the last year," said npower's managing director for residential supplies, David Andrew.
"A number of companies have already increased their gas prices and npower is also reviewing the prices currently available to its customers.
"However, for a limited period only, we are offering the option of a price cap on both fuels."
New customers wishing to sign up for the price cap should call 0800 229 999 by April 13, 2001.
