TRADERS in a Stow street want help to bring their shops to the attention of visitors to the town.

Businesses in Digbeth Street have written to the town council asking for signs in The Square directing people to the street and also for a town map to go up in The Square.

They believe their businesses suffer because people exploring the town centre don't know about the street's shops.

Despite their pleas councillors have dismissed the idea of signage, saying they would need to have similar signs for every other part of town as well, but they are going to look into the idea of putting up a map of the town with main features, such as toilets and public buildings, shown on it.
