ADRIAN Skeggs described Scott Barrow's Worcester Rugby Club debut as a "revelation" after the youngster shot down Henley Hawks with a superb display in a 56-18 romp.

The 20-year-old was making his first start in National One since his November switch from League giants St Helens and he stole the show with an accomplished display at centre.

He set up four tries and ran the Henley defence ragged with some sublime passing and vision at Sixways on Saturday.

Sateki Tuipulotu also impressed and bagged a hat-trick of tries in a personal points tally of 31 -- but there was no doubt who was man of the match.

And Worcester's director of coaching believes he has uncovered a gem with Barrow slotting in at centre. The second-half pairing with Rudi Keil showed a promise that may give his side a new injection as the race hots up for promotion to the Premiership.

He said: "For me he was a revelation. When you make a call on a guy who you see in training and then he goes and off-loads balls with such control -- it was fantastic.

"He always looked as if he would make something happen for us and also defensively I was impressed.

"For a 20-year-old he has so much promise."

With Winger Nick Baxter having to come off at the end of the first-half after a head injury, Keil came on to partner Barrow in the centre with Murdoch switching to fill Baxter's spot.

And Skeggs admitted, he was so impressed with the new system, he will be hard-pressed to change things for Worcester's weekend trip to Exeter.

"I would dare say that there is no problem with Scott keeping his place after a performance like that because I was happy with the two and I thought Alistair gave us another option on the wing.

"Alistair made some great moves in the second-half and caused them plenty of problems and that is what he is capable of because of his power."

Second-placed Leeds Tykes kept up the pressure on Worcester with a comfortable 43-22 win over Otley but Skeggs believes the scoreline at Sixways will send out a message to the rest of the league.

"This victory makes a statement to the rest to show people we are still the top team."
