WRESTLEMANIA comes to Kidderminster this weekend for what promises to be an action-packed evening of wacky heavyweight drama.

The UK Wrestlemania 2000 tour pays a visit to the Glades Arena and provides the chance to catch top super-heavyweight crowd pullers The Bushwhackers and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine in action.

The big bill for the evening also includes explosive Japanese invader Mister Otani and a string of top British campaigners including the outrageous Super Flys, prese- nted by the demure looking but totally outspoken Sweet Sayara.

The arm-wheeling Bushwhackers have a style of their own and are the biggest attraction for the fans.

They have hit the headlines across the globe and collected a string of tag team titles along the way.

And Valentine's moody magnificence made an instant impression in WWF rings and he has stayed at the top for more than a decade of battles against the best.

Mister Otani comes from the New Japan Pro Wrestling stable and is a supercharged high-flying athlete with a unique style.

However, perhaps the hottest prospect in store for Saturday is the battle between WWF battlers Kane and the Undertaker.

The Undertaker, Rick Masters, has flung out an anything goes hard core challenge to Kane in which tables, chairs and various weapons can be used in combat in or out of the ring.

Also part of the "biggest" thing to hit Kidderminster for years are Norfolk father and son duo Ricky and RJ Knight, the Legends of Doom tag team combination renowned for their bizarre facial make-up, and the hard-hitting headban- gers - alias Scotland's Mad McDonald and the indestructible Skull Murphy.

Brian Dixon, the Merseyside promoter of the event, said: "There are some massive names on the bill who have made massive impressions across the world, especially in America.

"The event will have a series of contests with each of the wrestlers fighting many of the others, rather than having just the one fight each."

He added: "The whole occasion really is something for all the family and there are always many adults in the audience. Wrestling is fun for everyone, not just the kids."
