Kidderminster angler Ray Jordan landed a 70lb total bag of roach, bream, crucians, orfe and carp on the coarse lakes at Shatterford Fishery.

Jordan took the fine catch with worms on the Stella Lake, while one angler landed three mirror carp to 19lb, using boilies on the Erics Lake.

Another caught a mirror carp of 18lb and an 11lb leather with pellets on the deep water of Stuarts Lake.

A Hagley angler landed two common to 17lb with boilies on the Erics.

The Stella produced a catch of 30 to 40lb of carp, roach and perch, which fell to maggots one afternoon.

On the trout scene, the top angler caught 19 rainbows to 2lb using a damsel fly on the Wyre Dell and Masters Lakes.

A catch of 16 to 2.5lb fell to a lure, the angler again fishing both lakes and one angler landed 12 to 3lb using a fritz on the Wyre Dell.

A viva was used on the Masters Lake for a catch of 12 to 1.5lb for a Bromsgrove angler.

SILLIGROVE FISHERY

Although the weather has kept numbers down, those who braved the elements have found it worth their while.

The biggest catch of the week was a 7.5lb rainbow caught on an olive zonker by Mike Isaacs in a haul of 12.

Richard Curzon, of Kidderminster, had 10 rainbows, including three blues, mainly taken on black nymphs.

Another angler took 10 rainbows on buzzers. The well-stocked pool is producing consistent catches of good-sized fish.
