THE wet weather might have abated on Saturday but it was raining goals in the Stratford Alliance.

A handful of fixtures fell victim to the elements but the seven surviving matches produced a flood of goals as defences were breached on 45 occasions.

Top scorers were Quinton, who also boasted one of just two hat-trick man on the day in Sean Winchester, who easily overcame Shipston Reserves 7-1.

There were seven different names on the scoresheet in another Nursing Home Cup tie as Campden Town edged out Railway Lions 4-3.

The battle of the Badsey clubs produced eight goals with Bolland and Schembri both bagging a brace as the senior side emerged unscathed after a 6-2 triumph.

The other side to make progress was Long Compton, who progressed to the second round on the strength of a 2-1 success over Bidford BC.

There was a similar scoreline in the preliminary round of the Edwards of Stratford Cup when Bretforton OB made the most of home advantage and goals from Barber and Attwood to dispose of FISSC.

Just two matches escaped November's ravages in Herald Division One.

Burrows bagged a treble as Badsey Rangers conquered Tysoe United 5-2, while Welford also hit five but only just scraped the points after a 5-4 win.
