FIVE of the Kidderminster School of Tae Kwon-Do won medals in the Kick-It 2000 tournament in Gravesend.
And three of those competing for the Wyre Forest Glades-based club achieved success in their first competitions.
One of the first-timers, Tim Spilsbury, took the gold medal in the middleweight sparring division after five hard-fought qualifying rounds.
In the women's event, Sheila Darvill narrowly missed the gold to take silver in the lightweight category.
Matthew Kitely and Matthew Davies took bronze medals in the senior grade events and Seb Bird, also making his debut, took bronze in the men's middleweights.
The students are trained by chief instructors Steve Breakwell and Jane Halling.
