AS Worcester struggles to cope with the rising floodwaters, one city housing estate has been left dry.
People living in Lower Wick have been forced to rely on water bowsers for their supply this week, as Severn Trent Water carries out essential work.
Severn Trent stationed vehicles in Lower Wick yesterday after the water mains were shut off in Canada Way.
A spokeswoman said all householders had been informed in advance that the water would be off for 33 hours.
"The pipes are being re-lined in the area," she said.
"The whole project will take until the end of the year, with bowsers being provided while the work takes place."
