ERIC McManus is to take over Bromsgrove Rovers on a temporary basis following George Rooney's departure.
The former Notts County goalkeeper had been helping out Rovers on the coaching side while combining his role with Director of Recruitment at Derby County.
McManus has been given permission by Derby to take charge at the Victoria Ground while Rovers look for a permanent successor to Rooney.
His first game in charge will be tomorrow's rescheduled Worcestershire Senior Cup first round tie at Moor Green (3pm).
Rovers chief executive Pat Bannister said: "I have got every confidence in Eric taking charge for the next few games.
"He played a big part in getting players of a good standard to the club when he was at Walsall.
"We have some very tough games coming up but if we can get confidence and morale from the players back, regardless of who is in charge, we will improve.
"The mood in the camp is very positive. The lads gave 100 per cent for George and were still 100 per cent committed to the club at training last night."
