I WAS astounded by the totally unwarranted personal nature of the letter headed "Standing up to road rage bullies" (Postbag, October 13) and the number of assumptions it makes. It appears that if your view does not concur with that of Mr Bywater, then his response is vitriolic. We all know the effect of the tunnel vision mentality, just look at the trouble spots around the world.
As a final point, I am fascinated to know how any part of the public highway can be called "our road". Perhaps we ought to revive the Red Flag Act for "our road"!
