TETBURY TOWN 1, MALVERN LADIES FC 2
ON Sunday Malvern Ladies FC, who are sponsored by First Floor Flooring, recorded their first away win of the season.
In a hard fought game, MLFC took the lead in the 22nd minute when a fine cross from Karina Farr was headed home by Jenny Allen.
Malvern increased the lead just before half time with a 25 yard free kick from Emily Prosser.
After using all their substitutes, an injury to Julia Hawker left Malvern to play the last 25 minutes with ten players.
Tetbury scored in the 70th minute with a right foot shot from ten yards but Malvern held on for a fine 2-1 victory.
MLFC's next home game is on Sunday, October 29, at Victoria Park, kick off 2.30pm, against Bristol City Reserves.
On Friday, November 3, MLFC are holding an Auction Night at the Cross Keys, Belmont Road, Malvern. Viewing from 6pm, auction to start 8pm. Please come along and support your only local ladies football team.
