IN the top encounter of the day, Morgan were at home to LTFC 2000, with both teams defending a one hundred per cent record before kick-off.

The game started off at a fast pace and it was Jason Emery who broke the deadlock for LTFC 2000 in the opening stages.

Talbot Head strengthened their position to move up to fourth in the Sterling Classic Malvern Football League with a 2-1 victory over Fromes Hill at the Hill Centre, Upton.

They took a one goal lead into the break and made sure of their victory in the second period after a very closely fought game.

Fromes Hill scored through James Howard and Talbot Head had Mark Robinson and Conrad Arnold to thank for their third consecutive win.

Club AC 30 collected their fourth league win of the campaign with a 5-2 win away to Callow End Harriers.

They took a two goal lead against a young Callow End side through leading scorer Aaron Parr. However, to their credit Harriers bounced back with great fight to bring the scores level at half time with Nightingale and Standon on target for the home side.

Parr grabbed a further two goals in the second half before substitute Ashley Young got his name on the scoresheet towards the end of the game to give AC 30 the three points.

In the home 'derby' Intermilokal struggled without a regular goalkeeper as they went down 7-1 to Portobello United at Lower Howsell Road.

Justin Davies with a hat trick was the pick of the scorers for United, aided by Gary Boyce, Matthew Panter, Mark Cox and Alan Barnes.

They move up two places and into fifth position.

Kempsey secured their first victory in the Under 18s Youth Division, playing at Kempsey Playing Fields for the first time this season they overcame a strong Westbury 2000 side by winning 5-3.

A Chris Walton hat trick and goals from Steven Vaughan and Lee Burton saw them collect the points.

This Sunday sees Talbot Head visit LTFC 2000, Fromes Hill host Bell Inn 98 and Bull Allstars return to action to play Callow End Harriers at Ross Road Playing Fields.

Four teams are involved in WFA Sunday Minor Cup Second Round action which sees Portobello United, Morgan and Club AC 30 with home ties and Intermilokal travelling north to play Trinity Sports.
