Worcester Cup 1st round
Stratford Sports Club's squash team were unfortunate to be drawn against a very strong Hagley 1st team in the first round and went down four matches to one.
Bill Britton at five continued his winning start to the season coming back strongly after losing the first game to win 3-1.
Steve Haines at four never really got going against a strong opponent and quickly lost 3-0.
Jim McCarthy at three played the closest game of the night coming back twice to make it 2-2, but a youthful opponent had the edge in fitness and won 3-2.
Giles Owen at two played three tough games coming close in each, but his opponent just stole each game to win 3-0.
Rolf Wilson at one also ran and ran as usual, but his young and skilful opponent always looked in control and won 3-0. Overall a disappointing night for Stratford, but Hagley were worthy winners.
