VETERAN left inner Mavis Yates hit a consolation for Studley Ladies Hockey Club in a 3-1 loss to Blockley.
Yates, who had played for Bromsgrove earlier in the day, powered in a goal from a strong fast pass from centre half Jayne Humby, 20 minutes from time.
The hosts had found themselves two down by half time despite the return from illness of goalkeeper Rachel Turner.
The controversial second goal went in through the side netting with the umpire unsighted and the visitors gave Studley a mountain to climb by scrambling in a third after the break.
The non-league club take on Chipping Camden at Redditch Hockey Club on Saturday, November 11 (12pm start).
