REDDITCH player-manager Rob Allen played half a match for the third team on Saturday in a bid for match fitness after a hamstring injury.
But with the player-boss absent Redditch saw off Old Wulfrunians 3-1 after goals from Adrian Dudley, Mat David and Phil Thomas.
Sweeper Dave Baker (work) and left half Ian Wilmott (holiday) turned out for the seconds in a 3-0 loss to Streetly but are unlikely to break into the first team for Saturday's trip to Pershore (12-30pm start) for the first league meeting between the sides.
