A HOSPITAL campaigner has had her written attempt to reverse the downgrading of Kidderminster Hospital referred to the Parliamentary Ombudsman.
Martha Randle is now awaiting a decision on whether Worcestershire Health Authority's decision to close the A&E department was made without essential facts about emergency cover in Wyre Forest being taken into consideration.
Mrs Randle, of Kidderminster, who has had the support of Liberal Democrat health spokesman Nick Harvey, originally sent her documents to the health commissioner but the case has now been transferred to the ombudsman.
Health Secretary Alan Milburn could be ordered to "call in" the case and reverse the downgrading if he agrees with the evidence.
