A MAN who loves train sets big and small will be exhibiting an example of his lifelong passion at the country's biggest model railway event next month.
David Mee, from Bewdley, is set to show off his model railway "Victoria Quay" at Birming-ham's National Exhibition Centre on November 4 and 5 - and reckons he draws inspiration for his work from the full-size equivalent Severn Valley Railway, where he works as a ticket inspector.
His stand, featuring the 10ft by 2ft layout - loosely based on Poole Harbour in Dorset - will be among more than 60 others at the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition.
It is the product of five years work by Mr Mee and "two or three like minded enthusiasts" from across the Midlands.
Mr Mee said they exhibit at about four events around the country each year and have taken their work as far afield as Holland.
