WORCESTER badminton ace Simon Archer has seen his hopes of glory dashed at the Danish Open in Copenhagen.
The Olympic bronze medallist was beaten in the second round of the mixed doubles, playing with temporary partner Erica van den Heuvel from Holland.
They went down 15-9 15-9 to home pair Janek Roos and Ann Jorgensen, having defeated another Danish duo, Jonas Rasmussen and Helene Kirkegaard, 15-12 7-15 17-14 in round one.
