YOUNGSTERS at Bidford Primary School enjoyed a belated Jeans for Genes Day last Friday.
Virtually all of the school's pupils celebrated the end of the half term by turning up in denim or casual clothes to raise funds for five national charities working for children with genetic disorders. The school's day raised £125 for the cause, which since its beginning in 1996 has raised £7million nationwide.
Headteacher Meryl Hargreaves said the aim of the event was explained to the children in assemblies.
