MAY I remind readers that Armistice Day, November 11, will shortly be upon us.
The Royal British Legion depends on the generosity of the public for funds to help those who gave so much in the cause of freedom.
Many gave the ultimate sacrifice and many more are still suffering from the injuries they sustained during the many conflicts that our armed forces have been involved in.
I would ask readers to consider the efforts these brave men and women put in to change the course of history and enable us to enjoy the freedom of opinion and choice which we hold dear as a country, and to please support the Poppy Day Appeal.
