IN Leisure Leagues five-a-side league The Shoesmiths took a step closer to the title.
Shoesmiths are now four points clear with just six games to play, and they maintained their 100% record at the expense of the ever determined Samba Boys 10-0. With Thomas Fox resting it gave last season's league champions Carny Army the chance to reduce the gap at the top of the table.
Carny Army took advantage and jumped into third place courtesy of Samba Boys 7-0.
DCS Europe played two games, but the going is tougher this season than it was for them last. They took on the ever improving Cromwell team going down to a 5-3 scoreline.
DCS Europe's second game of the evening was against the Warwickshire Wonders, who are failing to produce consistency themselves this season. The Warwickshire Wonders came out 13-6 winners.
